Shot my way through four years at NJCU, then spent six more figuring out how to teach it. Jersey City guards come to me when the jumper stops falling.
Every session starts on the same six feet of court: catch, footwork, release, hold. We build the form slow, then add game speed only when the mechanics survive it. I keep a shooting log for every player — makes, misses, and where the miss went — so progress is a number, not a feeling.
